New Light Studio
Ever since grade school I've been a doodler and sketcher. It was at Goucher College in Baltimore that I was first introduced to the world of art. That introduction was from the art history point of view, not about creating paintings. I fell in love with art there and was hooked.
After completing my Fine Arts major, I taught in the education department of The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. Since then I've studied, taught extensively and worked as an artist. I've been honored with numerous one person shows and included in many group and juried exhibitions as far away as Terni, Italy. I have also been affiliated with galleries in all of the locations where I've lived with my husband and family.
My work is represented in the collections of The Kenan Institute at North Carolina State University, The Bank of New York, GE Capital, General Electric, IBM, Lever Brothers and smaller firms and private collections in the US and abroad.
Since receiving my BFA at Goucher, I have studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago; the State University of New York at Buffalo; the Silvermine Guild School In New Canaan, CT; La Romita School of Art in Italy. I've participated in master classes with many prominent artists.
I now live in Charlotte, NC where I work in my new New Light Studio.
