Over the years my interests have included a number of different subjects worked out in several different media. As I experimented, my work became more abstract and focused on the mysteries of nature seen in its geological aspects and the mystery of our internal connections with the past. Both subjects are universal concepts and involve a sense of time, especially ancient time. Today I use colors, layers and textures in acrylic paint and acrylic/collage to symbolize layers of time and the fusion of past and present. Although inspired by the old, relics and rocks even, I am an artist using today's artistic language and continue to experiment with different materials.

My work is sometimes meditative and sometimes vigorous and always wants to involve you, the viewer, in a dialogue with these mysteries I find so compelling.
